Anna Seaderberg, 81

July 10, 2026

Anna Marie Diddens was born at home on the farm near Rice, MN, on September 13, 1944, to German immigrants, Herman and Anna (Burma) Diddens. She grew up on the farm speaking a low-Dutch German dialect along with English. She attended a one-room country schoolhouse for her early school years. After graduating from Sauk Rapids High School in 1962, she moved to Minneapolis and worked on a blueprinting press at Honeywell.
She met Richard Seaderberg in 1964 after his service in the Navy, and they were married on September 3, 1966. Shortly after marriage, they moved to Woodinville, WA (near Seattle), and she worked out of the home doing housecleaning and ironing. In 1971, they welcomed their one and only child, Karen, into their lives.
In 1976, they moved to Baudette, MN, and have called it home for 50 years now. While Richard made a living driving a truck cross-country for Marvin Windows, Anna continued to be a housewife and mother. She also had many jobs along the way. Her job of choice was cleaning, and she was the cleaning lady for The First National Bank and the Baudette Clinic for about 20 years. Later, she worked at The Walleye Inn, LOW Foods, and Ronnings.
Her hobbies included Latch hooking rugs and wall hangings, reading, watching movies, gardening, and most of all cooking and baking. As I tell people, her love language was cooking. If she made a meal or dish for you, you were loved by Anna!!!
Another important quality about Anna was her love of dogs. Her four black lab mixes she raised (Blackie and Raven) or helped raise (grand dogs-Prince and Onyx) gave her so much joy, love, and happiness.
Anna suffered a severe stroke on February 4, 2026. After much love and care from family, friends, and the local hospital and care center, she passed away on July 7, 2026, less than two months from her and Richard's 60th wedding anniversary.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Herman and Anna Diddens; her in-laws, Arnold and Lilly Seaderberg; sisters and brothers-in-law, Minnie (Lawrence) Wasner and Rita (Victor) Wochnick; and nephew Steven Wochnick.
She will be sadly missed by surviving family: her husband Richard Seaderberg, daughter Karen (Don) Holte, and extended family — nieces: Joyce (Dennis) Rebischke and Carol Wochnick, and sisters-in-law: Marie Highland, Ellamae (Dan) Johnson, and Eileen (Roger) Cordray, along with many other family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, monetary donations may be given to the LOW Humane Society.
Funeral services will be held at the Evangelical Covenant Church of Baudette on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at 11 a.m., with visitation one hour prior at 10 a.m. Luncheon to follow. Interment at Elm Park Cemetery.
