February 16, 2026

A Memorial Service for Brady Dunrud of Baudette, MN, will be held on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at 3 p.m. at First Lutheran Church in Baudette, MN.

Brady Lee Dunrud, age 38, of Baudette, Minnesota, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at Sanford Hospital in Fargo, North Dakota. Brady was born on March 16th, 1987, along with his twin sister, Briana, to Greg Dunrud and Jill Grant, in Bemidji, Minnesota.

Brady grew up in Baudette, Minnesota, and attended Lake of the Woods School, class of 2005. He spent most of his life in Baudette, except when he was traveling with the carnival, his greatest passion. He had high hopes of buying a food truck and traveling the country with the carnival again. Although his true love was the carnival and fairs, he will be remembered by most as the best bartender in Lake of the Woods County. A legend!

Brady was known for his kind heart, selflessness, a genuine, loving soul, and, most of all, his incredible, comforting hugs. He was a person who could meet you once but leave an everlasting impression on you. Brady was a true friend to all, but his greatest love was family, especially his niece Ellery. He was so proud of everything she did and always lit up around her. She was his pride and joy!

Brady is survived by his parents, Greg Dunrud and Jill Grant of Baudette, MN; his sister, Briana Satrom (Grant), of Grand Forks, ND; and his niece, Ellery Satrom. He also leaves behind aunts, uncles, cousins, and many, many friends.

He is preceded in death by his sister, Kayla Dunrud, both sets of grandparents, Morris and Jeanette Dunrud, and Alivin and Rose Fritsinger, his uncles, Bill Fritsinger, Bruce Fritsinger, and Bob Fritsinger, and his aunt Barbara “Susie” Swentik.

Brady, the “lake” won’t be the same without you! A piece of it has left with you. You will be greatly missed by all!

A funeral service is scheduled for 3 p.m. on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at the First Lutheran Church in Baudette, MN. A celebration of life will follow, with dinner at 5:30 p.m., at the American Legion Auxiliary of Baudette. Interment will be held at a later date at the Elm Park Cemetery in Baudette, MN.

In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations be made to the Lake of the Woods County Fair Board Association in his honor. An event he truly loved!
