Williams City Council Meeting Williams City Hall Monday, November 10, 2025 - 6:00 p.m.


Call to Order

Mayor C. Lundsten called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.

Questions and Concerns – Counil Member J. Klicker informed the Council that the WYRA would like to buy banners for the city to put on light poles. City Works Supervisor T. Brouse was instructed to count how many light poles have hardware to hang the banners and measure the banners at the City Garage to see how big they are.

 
 
Minutes
Council Member J. Klicker made a motion to approve the October 13th and the October 20th meeting minutes. Council Member A. Bastyr seconded the motion, with it passing unanimously. 
 
New Business
The Council discussed lights in the Williams Arena rink area, Zamboni room, Locker rooms, and bathrooms. After much discussion Council Member made a motion to purchase lights for the Zamboni room, Locker rooms and bathrooms provided the Arena Association agrees to pay for half to cost of the lights. The motion was seconded by Council Member J. Kukowski with it passing unanimously. 

City Administrator L. Nicholson spoke with the Council regarding the librarian position that has been advertised. A good candidate for the position has been found and interviewed. The Employee Committee recommends that Brianna Williams be hired for the position. Council Member L. Huerd made a motion to hire Brianna Williams at the rate of $16.00 per hour for the librarian position. The motion was seconded by Council Member J. Kukowski. The motion passed with all members approving except Mayor C. Lundsten who abstained from voting.

Clerk Nicholson informed the Council that there is upcoming training for Wastewater Operator. The training is in Shoreview, MN.  Clerk Nicholson asked the Council for permission to send City Works Supervisor T. Brouse to the training. After some discussion on the matter, Council Member J. Kukowski made a motion to send City Works Supervisor T. Brouse to the training. The motion was seconded by Council Member J. Klicker, with it passed unanimously.

Committees

Parks, Streets and Sewer – Working on the annual sewer inspection.
Ordinance – Nothing new.
Library - Nothing new.
Finance, Budget and Personnel – Nothing New.
 
Claims
Council Member L. Huerd moved to approve the claims paid.  Council member J. Kukowski seconded the motion, with it passing unanimously.
 
 
Adjournment
Council Member L. Huerd made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 6:30 p.m. Council Member J. Kukowski seconded the motion, with it passing unanimously.
