A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING SUMMARYPUBLICATION OF ORDINANCE 2025-08-01 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Baudette has adopted Ordinance 2025-08-01, titled “AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 92 OF THE BAUDETTE CITY CODE PERTAINING TO GRASS/WEEDS”; and WHEREAS, in the case of lengthy ordinances or those containing charts or maps, Minnesota state law allows the City Council to approve, by a four-fifths vote, the publication of an ordinance by title and summary only; andWHEREAS, the expense to publish the complete text of the ordinance is not justified; andWHEREAS, the following summary clearly informs the public of the intent and effect of the ordinance.NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Baudette, Lake of the Woods County, Minnesota, that the following summary is hereby approved for publication:SUMMARY PUBLICATIONORDINANCE NO. 2025-08-01The City Council of the City of Baudette has adopted Ordinance 2025-08-01, titled “AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 92 OF THE BAUDETTE CITY CODE PERTAINING TO GRASS/WEEDS”. The purpose of the ordinance is to amend various sections in Chapter 92 of the City Code for adjustments to regulation of weeds, rank vegetation and grasses including lowering the allowed height of grass from 12 inches to 10 inches and streamlining the abatement process designating City staff to address any violations of the Chapter. This public notice is intended only to summarize the ordinance.  The full text of the ordinance is available for inspection at Baudette City Hall during regular business hours.NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Baudette, Lake of the Woods County, Minnesota, that the City Clerk keep a copy of Ordinance 2025-08-01 at City Hall for public inspection during business hours and post a full copy of the ordinance in a public place in the City.Adopted and approved by the City Council of the City of Baudette on a vote of 4 ayes and 0 nays effective on the 11th day of August 2025.
