Lyle R. Nelson, 67

Lyle R. Nelson, 67, of Baudette, MN, passed away on May 16th, 2025, at LakeWood Hospital with his beloved wife, Laya Nelson of Baudette, by his side.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilford and Flora Nelson, his sister, Lola, and his Aunt Fern and Uncle John Lamberson.

He is survived by his loving wife, Laya, fur babies (Curly, Lili, and Stash), his brothers Westly (Karen), Bruce, and Brian, and Sister Inez (Bob) Schwegler, as well as many nieces, nephews, and numerous friends.

He was an avid sportsman and gardener who served the community as a bartender and gas station clerk.

Lyle’s memorial service will be held at the First Lutheran Church on June 2nd, 2025, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Mary Lee Gens officiating. A luncheon will follow at the Moose Lodge of Baudette.
