PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE OF ZONING ORDINANCE AMENDMENTS

Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held by the Lake of the Woods County Planning Commission on Wednesday, April 2, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. in the Commissioners’ Room of the County Government Center in Baudette, Minnesota. The purpose of this public hearing is to consider amendments to the Lake of the Woods County Subsurface Sewage Treatment System Ordinance. 

This zoning ordinance would amend the county’s zoning regulations to include additional methodologies, for properties lying north of the 49th parallel, when assessing tank integrity for a compliance inspection on an existing septic system.

All interested citizens are invited to attend this hearing and provide testimony. This notice is a summary and to review all proposed changes to the ordinance, copies are available at the Lake of the Woods County Land and Water Planning Office and the Auditor’s office.
