Jody Bednarski, 66

Jody Marie Bednarski, age 66, of Baudette, MN passed away peacefully surrounded by family, on January 25, 2025, after her courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Minneapolis, MN, on August 28, 1958, to Jack and Jennaur Bednarski.

Jody always had an adventurous spirit. She first enrolled at Wadena College and later joined the United States Army, where she was stationed in Germany—a place she deeply loved. In her spare time, you could find her at every garage sale, walking her dog Molly, planting flowers, and fishing.

Jody lived a life full of love and compassion. She enjoyed every minute she spent with her children and grandchildren and adored them all equally. She will be remembered most for her big, kind heart, her strong sense of dedication to her family, her positive attitude, and her bravery and perseverance in the face of hardship. 

Jody is survived by her partner of over 40 years, John. Children Tiffany, Jenna, Kelsey (husband Drew), Tara, and Taylor; grandchildren Aidan, Connor, Camden, Liam, Charlotte, Colin, Jack, Clayton, and one other grandchild; sisters Brenda and Lynelle, cousin Joe, and her mother Jennaur. She leaves behind many other family members and friends - all of whom will miss her dearly.

Jody was preceded in death by her father, Jack Bednarski, and her nephew, Brandon Benny.

The funeral service will be held at Helgeson Funeral Home on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at 12 p.m. A lunch will be held at the Baudette American Legion immediately following the services.
