Louise Carlberg, 91

December 02, 2024

Louise was born August 7, 1933, in Buyck, Minnesota, at the home of her parents, Fred and Bertha Eichholz. After her father died in 1942, she moved with her mother and brother Duane to Tower, Minnesota, where they lived until she graduated from high school in the spring of 1950. She went on to take nurse’s training in Duluth, Minnesota, and became a Registered Nurse.
It was during nurse’s training that she met Dwayne Carlberg on a blind date in 1953. They were married on September 8, 1956. Together, they loved and raised two children. Louise passed away at the Lakewood Health Center in Baudette on November 27, 2024, at the age of 91.

Louise was a talented lady who loved sewing, needlework, gardening, and caring for people. She made every house she lived in a warm, inviting home. She had a deep love for her God, Jehovah, and was a student of the Bible all her life. In 1965, she was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She spent the rest of her life devoting as much time as possible to sharing her faith and future hope with as many as she could. She served as a Regular Pioneer for many years and was rarely missing from weekly meetings at the Kingdom Hall.

Louise is survived by her husband, Dwayne Carlberg, of Baudette, MN; son and daughter-in-law Steven and Bonnie Carlberg of Ocala, Florida; daughter and son-in-law Sharron and Paul Mankus of Baudette, MN; granddaughter Sarah Mankus of Bemidji, MN; and brother-in-law Michael Carlberg and wife Becky of Mankato, MN.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 7th, at 3 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 210 4th Avenue SE, Baudette, MN.
