Carol Ann Edstrom
Carol Ann (Bakula) Edstrom passed away peacefully on August 6, 2024, in Baudette, MN. She was born on February 8, 1943, in St. Paul, Minnesota, to Helen and Howard Bakula.
The oldest of three girls, she grew up in White Bear Lake, Minnesota. She graduated from the University of Minnesota with a bachelor's degree in Teaching. Throughout her life, she was an active volunteer for programs including Girl Scouts, Church Women United, World Day of Prayer, and church youth groups. She enjoyed camping, especially going to the Boundary Waters and exploring God's great earth. Her love of nature extended to feeding the birds and deer in her yard on a daily basis.
Carol is survived by her children Anne Dziok, Sarah (Jim) Jones, James (Carla) Edstrom and Miriam (Chad) Botsford, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, her sisters Mary Helen (Dick) Swanson, Nancy Bakula, nieces, other relatives and friends.
It was Carol's wish that memorials be made to environmental causes, cleaning up highways, or Native American groups.
