Dorothy Kay Moen, 73

Dorothy was born on January 26, 1951, in Baudette, MN, to Carl and Dorothy (Fuller) Moen and died peacefully at home in Robbinsdale, MN, on September 6, 2023.

She was baptized and confirmed as a member of the First Lutheran Church in Baudette. When circumstances permitted, she enjoyed and welcomed going to church and worshiping, whether in Baudette or the Twin Cities. Dorothy loved to page through magazines…especially those with pictures. Another thing that gave her great pleasure was watching food programs, including the Food Network.

For most of her adult life Dorothy was employed by Opportunity Partners (formerly known as Opportunity Workshop), in the Twin Cities. She worked there for over 50 years and absolutely loved going to work every day. Thank you to Opportunity Partners for the joy and purpose Dorothy enjoyed by being a part of that encouraging environment.

She was a resident of ACR Homes at Robin House in Robbinsdale, MN, for many years. Thank you for the care they provided for her for much of her life.

Dorothy was predeceased by her parents and brothers and sisters-in-law: George and Anna, Calvin (Cubby) and Flossie, and Ron Moen.

She is survived by sister-in-law Darlene (Ron) Moen; nieces Terrie (Bruce) Lerum, Cindy Moen, and Debbie (Dennis) Beckel; great-nephews and nieces Bryan (Kristen) Lerum, Eric Hopper, Stacy (Chris) Byrne, David Quintanilla, and Danielle Quintanilla; and great-great nieces and nephews Lilliana Byrne, Cheyenne Byrne, Kinsley Lerum, and Christopher Byrne, Jr.

A memorial service for Dorothy will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 15, 2024, at First Lutheran Church in Baudette.
