Jeffrey T. Olson

A graveside service for Jeffrey T. Olson of Baudette, MN, will be held on Thursday, May 16, 2024, at 1 p.m. at Elm Park Cemetery.

Jeffrey Todd Olson was born April 18th, 1966, in Cloverdale, California, to Thais Olson. He came to Baudette at 4 weeks old to live on his grandparents’ farm at Carp with his mom and grandparents, Edwin and Evelyn Olson. He lived there for most of his childhood. Following his mother’s marriage to his stepfather, Warren Park, in July of 1977, Jeff divided his time between his mom's house, his aunt Pat's house, and the farm at Carp.

He graduated from Lake of the Woods High School in 1984 and worked at Marvin Windows in Warroad, MN, for a time. He then worked at the Pioneer Nursing Home in Baudette, after which he attended the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks, North Dakota. Following his time of study, he returned to Baudette and his work at the nursing home. There, he met Rhonda Williamson. They were married and moved to Larimore, North Dakota, where he worked at Altru Hospital and completed his studies to become a paramedic. Following his graduation, he became the Director of Ambulance Service in Thief River Falls, MN, until 1999, when he returned to Baudette and became the general manager at The Grand Theater. It was during this period he married Jodi Flom. As time went on, Jeff became disabled and was unable to continue working. Since 2012, Jeff shared his home in East Baudette with his mother until his death on April 29, 2024.

Jeff is survived by his mom, Thais Park, his Aunt Valda Nebus and her sons Kevin and Ryan, his Uncle Carroll Olson and his son Aaron, his Uncle Allen and his wife Eileen and their daughter Sherry, and his Aunt and Uncle Donna & Rick Klander as well as many other cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Aunt Patricia Turnmire, Aunt Dorthey Nendel, Uncle Larry Turnmire, Uncle Lyle Olson, and stepfather, Warren Park. Among many things, Jeff will be remembered for his beautiful voice that he shared with so many at funerals, weddings, and community events and for his gregarious and compassionate heart.
