Minutes

Council Member L. Huerd made a motion to approve the February 12th meeting minutes. Council Member J. Kukowski seconded the motion, with it passing unanimously.

New Business

Brenda Nelson appeared to discuss 4-H members beautifying the City Park. After some discussion the Council decided that they would rather not have more things planted in the park. The reasons being we are still in the process of upgrading the park and would not want them to plant somewhere that gets redone, and more plantings present a maintenance issue for our grounds keeper who would have to mow and weed whack around said plantings.

Ordinance 62 was discussed; the ordinance defines what mobile homes are allowed to be brought into residential areas and which must be in a mobile home park.

Clerk Nicholson informed the Council that the Roseau/Lake of the Woods ATV Club will be renting the City Arena in May and will be acquiring a one-day liquor license for their membership drive. No action was taken.

Old Business

There was discussion about the flush toilets/showers at the City Park. Council Member J. Kukowski made a motion to move forward with the project. The motion was seconded by Council Member G. VanDeHey, with it passing unanimously.

The LED sign was discussed. After some discussion, Council Member J. Kukowski made a motion to use the Safety Money (a grant to be used for safety and community engagement) that was received in January to; put additional cameras at the park (safety), fix the LED sign (community engagement), and give the rest of the money to the Fire Department (safety). The motion was seconded by Council Member L. Huerd, with it passing unanimously.
