Barbara "Barb" Lee Porch, 75

Barbara “Barb” Lee Porch of Williams passed away suddenly in Bemidji at the age of 75.
Barb was born on December 6, 1947, in Missoula, MT, to Nicole and Rosemary Fiorentino. Growing up in Polson, Montana, Barb loved riding horses and graduated high school there. After high school, she married her childhood sweetheart, Roger Porch, on October 18, 1966. After they were married, they moved to Canada, where Roger worked as a logger. Then they moved back to Montana, where they had two children, Tony and Tiarra. The family then moved to Grygla, where they lived for 16 years until moving to Williams. Barb worked for Marvin Windows and Doors for 16 years while the family raised pigs, cows, and chickens at home.
She was known for her amazing baked goods at the farmers market and her always positive attitude. Barb was passionate about many things, such as reading, painting, doodling self-portraits, riding the 4-wheeler, gardening, and flowers, but her biggest passion was her family. She loved watching the grandkids playing sports and wouldn’t miss a game even if she was sick. Barb’s baking was something everyone looked forward to; even the grandkids looked forward to her baked goods for Christmas more than their own toys. Barb never liked to be left alone, and if Roger was going somewhere, she was going to go too. She loved to sit in her chair in the front of the house and just enjoy nature. Barb was the rare person who never was negative and just loved to have fun and enjoy life. She will be missed by many.
Barb was preceded in death by her parents, Nicole and Rosemary Fiorentino. She is survived by her husband, Roger Porch, siblings Nikki (Denny) DesRosier, Clark (Nancy) Fiorentino, Mark (Dyan) Fiorentino, Gina (Scott) Jones, children Tony (Heidi) Porch, Tiarra (Shane) Shaw, grandchildren Heather (Anthony) Fish, Tiffany (Sam Borland) Porch, Leah (Andy Jespersen) Shaw, Wyatt Shaw, and great-grandchildren Taylar, Jake, Isabelle and Mila.
A Memorial Service for Barb was held at First Lutheran Church in Baudette on Thursday, September 28, 2023, at 4:00 p.m. with a visitation an hour prior. Interment will happen at a later date at Graceton Cemetery.
